How PawsField checks listings

PawsField helps you compare dog fields and walking areas before visiting. Our labels explain the type of place, where the details came from and what to check directly with the venue.
What “Bookability checked” means
This is our dated published-information check, also described as “verified bookable”. We have reviewed operator sources supporting these points:
- The space can be hired for private, exclusive or sole use.
- There is a usable booking or booking-enquiry route.
- The operator describes the enclosure or fencing.
Profiles show the check date and operator source where available. We have not physically inspected the venue. The label is not a guarantee of available slots, a particular fence standard or suitability for your dog.
Owner-supplied facts and other listings
“Claimed by owner” means the operator or a representative supplied listing details. Prices, fence heights, gates, parking, water, livestock and reactive-dog policies are labelled with their source and date where available. An owner claim is separate from a bookability check.
Private-hire field listings include checked fields and clearly labelled candidates. A candidate may be a genuine hire field we have not yet checked; its name or map category does not prove exclusive access or enclosure. Public parks, nature sites and other walking areas have their own labels and sections. Directory inclusion does not upgrade a place's evidence status.
Unknown means not supplied or checked, not No. We prioritise explicit owner answers, retain relevant published operator context and flag conflicting price information rather than present a disputed amount as a current quote.
Feature shortlists
Water, agility, training and other feature pages distinguish operator-reported details from mentions in public listing information. We use specific relevant statements, not a rating or the word “secure” alone, to identify a possible match. A source mention is a research lead, not a test of facilities, a breed recommendation or proof that the venue suits a reactive dog.
Before you book
- Check the total price, session length, permitted dogs and cancellation terms.
- Ask about the lowest fence or gate, gaps, double gates and the route from parking.
- Confirm exclusive use, neighbouring dogs, livestock and any arrival or departure buffer.
- Check the entrance directions, water, ground conditions and any access restrictions.
Your booking and payment take place with the operator. A “Book Now” link goes to a booking route we have reviewed; other buttons identify an operator website, contact page or social contact route. Availability and terms can change after our check.
Ratings, photos and external sources
We do not collect visitor reviews for publication or add third-party ratings to review structured data. Numerical Google Maps ratings and third-party photos can be displayed only through a documented publication-rights approval with source, freshness and review-integrity checks. A public source, an attribution or an owner's claim does not by itself provide permission to reuse someone else's content.
Where no approved rating is available, follow the listing's Google Maps link to read current reviews at the source. Those reviews are not PawsField endorsements. Operator-submitted images are separate from third-party photos and remain subject to the submitter's authority to share them.
Optional kit recommendations contain affiliate links where labelled. They are separate from the operator's listing and do not affect its verification status. A “Listed on PawsField” badge confirms only that a record exists.
Correct a detail or request removal
Use “Claim, update or request removal” on a profile, or send a correction or removal request. Include the listing name or URL and the detail concerned. Anyone can report an error or raise a personal-data concern; claiming to represent the venue is not required for that. We may ask for proportionate evidence to resolve the request or confirm authority for an owner claim.
